You guys can chill out now , I just got back from the mountains today ,It ran flawless at 3500 ft., It was jumping off the rev limiter at lower elevations ,I assume because it has more power , and I was on a hardpacked road down from the mountains . I just still need to throw some more weight at it . ;)!

How much boost were you running Tim? Just picked up an MCXpress kit for my Apex today, so I'm glad to hear yours is working well.

I was running at 8 psi today (turned it down too much I guess ) ,I'm gonna turn it back up , Take out that gargantuan white spring out of the primary, throw some more weight on the arms and try it again. ;)!

Hey Tim, what did you do for end caps for your exhaust and inlet. I just realized all these kits were modelled on short tracks and the caps have a differnt bolt pattern. I am just gonna order a pair for an Attak, I tried them, they fit. I suppose I could make 'em work but this looks cleaner. I gave my exhaust a little turn out too.

Tim, did you do anything with camshaft timing. I keep hearing and reading that the camshaft is not turbo friendly in the apex.

Got the kit...... Nicky got it installed (while I was in Maui).....did not change any mapping. Ran to 14lbs and it ran like a top @ 6000 ft.
I'm totally stoked..........We installed a A/F guage and it ran perfectly in the middle of stoich at top end and in the upper stoich in mid rpm.
I'm not sure why some may be having troubles but this one is nearly perfect. Did not pull out one wrench or adjsut anything other than going from 10 to 14lbs. Settled on 12 and it felt like it should.

I just ordered a set for a shortrack - worked fine . They will send you a set for the mountain if you ask them about it , i havent decided if i will keep what I have or get the turned out ones.I thinl I'll take the luggage rack off the back anyway , so I'll probably stick with what i have.

The installation mabual that comes from mcexpress shows what to do ,yes i did mine .Apparently the cams are fine with the turbo because the horsepower numbers are coming in at the same or better levels than the 05 cams.

Tim, Did your kit come with adjustable cam gears? Could you elaborate on the adjustment procedure. I have had this motor apart and timed the cams according to factory procedures.

The exhaust cam doesn't get changed .The stock intake cam gear gets "slotted" A little to bring the cam back to stock postition .This is only applicable to an engine that has had a head shim installed to lower the compression.
