todat I went for my first ride i went about 150 miles. my knee are killing me now. does anyone have any pics of taller seats they did? i am 6'6" tall how much higher should i go? does anyone know of anyone in michigan that does good seat work? other than the seat hieght my trip was great it has a lot of power.

Remove your seat and take it to a quality upholsterer. They key is to raise it a tad (maybe a few inches for you as you are reslly tall), but more importantly use foam in the seat that compresses very little.

aftermarkit seats ?
who offers aftermarket seats ? Was told boss no longer makes them. HAt my seat as well. My GF has a 2007 F 6 cat. Love the seat, would like to adapt to mine. Same with rear suspension. Sucks.

What apex do you have? There are too different seat foams and the soft one on GTs are BRUTAL on my knees and back, the firm ones feel like I add 3" to the seat because they dont sink in so much.
You can get the right foam and stuff it to help, but if your starting on a soft seat, you may want to try a firm one. I was set to throw mine away till I got on the firm one and found a shorter person that wanted to swap his firm one for my soft one and were both happy.
I'm only 6'1" so I cant imagine being 6'6' on these things.

mine is a gt. today i called scottys sled shed and asked them about a seat they make a raised seat for the rx1 but not the apex. he said there is not enough demand for a raised apex seat and he dont do custum seats for them either he told me to buy the strap on riser he makes but i want something that looks better. I am thinking of trying to buy a cheap used seat and make my own. anyone have pics of ones they made?
