Hey everyone, I am thinking of buying a 2006 Vector and was wondering if you guys have any info for me on the sled. I am 5'10 about 220 lbs been riding quads and dirt bikes my whole life. End of the year last year I went snowmobiling for the first time on a 2005 switchback 600 and now im looking for my own lol. It is in great shape bought new in Dec of 06 and has 1200 miles on it and the guy is looking to get 4700.00 for it. Just figured I see what you guys have to say about the sled and if theres somthing I should look for when buying it or if theres something else you recommend. I will be doing most of my riding in trails up in NY state. Thanks for the help.

Personally I would not buy a Vector unless it has the tall seat (rider forward). Don't remember what year they started that in...2008? As to the price, you would have to check around your area to see if the price is good or not. Used sleds in the Midwest seem to sell for different prices for those out east.

I have 5000 trouble free miles on my 06 and love it. I average between 16 to 21 miles per gallon and no oil to add. As for me the rider forward position don't get it , I like the traditional sitting position the 06 offers. The engine is super smooth with lots of low end torque, it will put a smile on your face.

where in NY are planning on riding?Since you ride quads and bikes you may want something alittle more aggressive.I just bought an 06 nytro for 4500 with 1100 miles on it,im here in NY as well
If you can afford an 06', you probably can afford an 08' LTX leftover. My buddy came off a 2003 MXZ 800 and he loves that thing!! Go with an LTX if you can!!
