Took my vector out today and let me say I am very glad that I got rid of my polairs and got the four stroke. THe sled is great, very smooth and plenty of power. I had the chance to put 17 miles on it today and it was great... Few things though...
Noticed a small belt squeal which was there occasionally but only like once or twice....
Secondly, I have read all these posts about track howl, and to be honest I am not sure what you were talking about, I did hear some track noise around 50, but it was nothing more than I have had on any other sled that I have owned with at least 1 inch track....
Cant wait till the trails open..... Then I can ride more than just circles...

Glad you like it.. I have an old beater 05 vector.. It is sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. The squeal will be there for a while, until she gets some miles on. Sometimes washing the belt with soap and water before running it helps get the factory gunk off..The track noise comes with miles.. Most of us agree that it has something to do with the hyfax wearing down. Mine was quiet until the 500 mile mark.. What color did you buy? MM.

You guys are making me jealous. I have been staring at my new Candy Apple Red GT for the last 2 months. No snow in this area.........
I cannot wait until the first ride.........Traded my Viper for this sled, and I am sure that I will be totally satisfied............

I don't think you will notice any track noise with the monoshock suspension.

Not true, my RX-1 is just as loud as the Vector. Two reasons you didn't hear it. 1.) Snow conditions, hard packed trail is where you hear it. 2.) Hyfax wear, it gets worse as they wear.
