Was at the Tornto snowmobile show and saw a Nytro. It had a storage area at the back of the seat the same as the new Apex do. My question is this, does the GT also come with this storage area. This is the one big missing on the vector line. Haven't got mine yet and they couldn't tell me at the show

I have the Red 06 Vector GT sitting in the garage and they don't have the rear compartment.

There is a Blue one in my garage and no storage compartment on it either. I just bought a set of Choko Travel Pack bags and plan on going to a Seamtress and get a few adjustments made to the fastening system. Looked at Yamaha bags but could buy two Choko bags for the price and still have more storage space. My Apex has a real compartment plus under the hood storage area, however I will use saddle bags on that too for long trips. Its a bummer with no storage especially for day trips. If there is no place to put stuff it cuts down on the weight.

I wonder why they would put the storage compartment on the Nytro and not on the GT. Makes more sense on the GT as it is more of a touring machine than the Nytro? I guess they had to leave something for next year! I also underestand there is a bag you can buy and rip out the tool box and installit for storage. Maybe I'll look at this option.

They made a new higher seat for the Nytro. They are still using the old seat on the Vectors

The Nytro and Apex has the taller seats, so they have more storage room to offer.
If you want more storage room, just take a tank bag or a set of saddlebags.

You are right RTX Merida. Was in at the dealers yesterday and they changed a few things for the Nytro. They get the new seat, handlebars and storage space behind the seat. They lose the storage area under the hood same as the Apex, not that you can store much there unless you modify it as stated in the one of the talk sectiuons by removing the stock storage and replacing with a storage bag which I plan to do. I also carry a tank bag and saddle bags as we travel from place to place and are on the trail for days and sometimes over a week at a time without seeing the homefront. Need all spare clothes, camera etc.
