I've ordered a RS Vector LTX GT, and was just wondering....
Does anyone know for a fact what instrumentation it will come with? The APEX-type or the old Vector-type?
Seems kind of confusing in the technical information Yamaha has on their site. If you compare the Vector LTX with the Vector LTX GT, they have different specs... Will the GT come with the APEX-type, and the regular LTX come with the old Vector type? My dealer couldn't give me a straight answer...
It would be a plus if it came with the APEX-type, since it has a few nice features over the Vector-type...
Is it September yet???

I looks like the APEX pod. At least from the demo video on the Yamaha website. It near the end of the 08 Vector video.

Yes, I have seen all the videos. I was just wondering if anyone had any additional info on this, since the videos just shows the prototypes... Thanks for the reply though...
Are there any Vector LTX GT prototypes around, or are they all (like in TY's 08 review) just the plain LTX... ????
The magazines really doesn't care for this model obviously, since I can barely find it mentioned in their '08-info's. I guess it's too sencible of a model for them to even bother mentioning it... Or Yammie don't wan't it mentioned, so they will lose sales on the Apex LTX... LOL

At the Demo rides I rode this machine and it had the old Vector style.
Maybe just for the prototype but I think not, I think you will see the old style on there.

At our sled preview/demo in April it had the old type CLUSTER/SPEEDO and rear tail light...
If this is any help to you...

OK... It doesen't really matter, I'm just a little confused by the mixed technical spec's... I guess we will just have to wait and see if it's just the prototypes that has the old style. Maybe they haven't had time to convert the Apex-style tach for just 9000 rpms??? Who knows... I would have liked to have the two trip's and the clock though. I scaled up another of the pictures from the Yammie-gallery, and it shows an Apex-style.... Hmmmm....
Can't wait to ride it though, it should be a lot better then my old RS Venture TF I had in '05, aspecially with the new ergonomics over the Ventures old... I just love the RS-engine, it's by far the smoothest and most fuel-efficient engine I've ever had. And after reading Hondo's mileage-report, it seems to last quite a while too...
After riding a Lynx (Scandinavian Doo) for two years, I found I missed the torque and smoothness of the 4-thump tripple... And since I wan't a carbed sled, I dared not wait another year.
EDIT: Yamaha has changed the specs for the regular LTX now to the Apex-pod, but the pics of the regular has the old style... It's only the regular Vector who has the old style in the specs by now... I guess they haven't made up their mind yet on what will be standard in the end?!??!!
