Is $9240 plus tax out the door a good deal for this sled? Selling dealer is Highlands Yamaha in IL.
Thanks!
Thanks!

He quoted me $9839 plus tax for an 07 Attack GT
Well, as a matter of fact, I just bought my brand new 2007 standard Attak from Highlands so I'll share what I got...
MSRP for the 07 Attak (standard) is $10,499, and they sold it to me for $9,099 + $40 doc + tax, a no haggle pricing spring order...just what they quoted me when I stopped in. $1,400 off list sounded good to me so I signed.
I believe MSRP for an 06 Apex GT was $10,899, but with it being a 1 model-year old, I'd expect them to take at least $1,600 off list if it were me...assuming it's still brand new. That brings us to $9,199. So it sounds like they're giving you a reasonably fair price in my book but not a killer steal...
Then again I also got $400 in free accessories and a 3 year warranty for no charge included with my 07, but that was a Yamaha factory deal at the time for early orders, not sure if you can match that now or not...I doubt it.
But if it's actually a used sled and not brand new, I believe you can do better...
The other train of thought on this game is that you don't beat up a dealer too bad on the purchase, a few hundred bucks here and there is pretty meaningless when it comes time for needing service and they remember you as "the cheap guy".
There's my .02...good luck on your decision!

Sounds like you also need to decide whether you want an Apex or an Attak...if I were in your shoes I think I'd pony up a few hundred extra and just get an '07...updated handwarmers, not much else different from what I can tell. Plus you'll get your money back at trade-in time when your sled is one model year newer.

I just purchased a New 2006 Apex RTX w/ reverse (Blk & Red) for $8000 + tax. Not a bad deal. I think you could do a little bit better on the GT given the time of the year and the fact the dealer needs to get rid of the 06 models.

I think I could too. He told me That he has "a lot of 06 GT'S" left.

I would buy an APEX GT in a heartbeat but think I will go with an 07 Attak. Reason-being is that the Apex GT has a 121 track and I want a 136

A friend of mine just picked up an '06 Apex GT with 900 miles for $6,700 USD (included stock and stiff spring, two windshields, deluxe cover and the oil was changed at 500 miles plus he gave him a new filter and 4 quarts of oil). I told him he should be in jail because he robbed that guy blind.

I snowchecked my '07 Attak GT for 9,999 and I am pretty happy. I definately think you could do much better.

Buy what you want, that appears to be an Attak.

I would jump at that!!
See if he'll throw in the extra 2 yrs of warranty that Yamaha was offering in the Spring. (Probably Not)

That is the price I am paying (Also from Highlands) when my 07 Attak GT comes in. Although I will be getting the $400.00 accessories and 3 year warranty. About $10,500.00 OTD.

I paid $9300 before tax and doc fees last year when I purchased my GT from Highlands. They appear to be knocking a bit off their everyday low price that they had all last winter.
