Hey guys,
Just wanted to get some (more) replys on what your serious opinion is on how low I should be able to buy an '06 YAMI APEX RTX w/ reverse that was a demo? My dealer told me $8,499 (US). I was thinking about $8,000 (US)!!!!!!!!

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?????? (serious answers please)

Thanks once again guys,
;)! Yamaha Man ;)!

Seriously......the best deal you will ever get is a CASH deal. If you are financing it, they will always pad the price. Go in with $8000 in CASH, slap it on the salesman's desk and see what happens.

$8000 all in at this time of year sounds fair to me for a demo. Guys are picking up used (300 miles) sleds for $7300 on this forum.

I think a dealer demo would have to be a lot cheaper than new or used to be worth it. I shudder to think about the ways some demo sleds are treated. I would feel a lot more comfortable buying a used RTX from a regular single owner.

A week ago Saturday I paid $7,800 without reverse ($8,300 with Michigan sales Tax and regestration) for a brand new one. I had my choice of one in the crate and the one that had been on his showroom floor since late last summer. Guess which one I took 8)
Reverse should only add $300, that was the difference in the spring.
The only catch was the dealer wanted me to put it on my Yamaha card. He said he got a kick back doing so. I just mailed the payment last week, thanks Jimmie d ;)!

wow, great deal...but i think reverse is like 500 or so???....i could be off though???

i actually wanted a NON ER myself, but couldnt find one...i would love to see how much more top end it would run over ER model...as when i took chaincase apart to swap out ripsaw,i noticed alot more stuff in there then i thought..so its gotta be slower....lots of turning gears ect....

i rarely use reverse and if i could get 3mph more id remove it if possible....maybe we can swap eh???

dan

I have reverse coming, cost me $300.00. I'm still debating whether or not to install it just for the reasons you mentioned................

RTX

Alrighty thanks guys
Ya I was hoping to get it for $8,000 (US)

I guess now I have to go in there and do some magic! lol

Thanks again,
YAMAHA MAN

Where are you?Which dealer?
Local dealer took demo RTX to the trails and let people ride it and one guy didn`t come back for an hour.Someone during the day had hit something causing some sled damage but it was hard to notice as it was a little dirty.

I live in Auburn, NY! This demo only has 13 miles on it!!!!! So I want to jump on it, but I want the price to be around 8,000 dollars (US) rather than 8,500.

New ordered RTXs during last years preseason were $8400 and w/reverse $8500.
Seasons pretty much over so you should get a good deal.
Any new sled with miles the dealer has to pay for it(pay it off).So they already bought it.
Hold out a little while, with no snow there won`t be many sled buyers
mostly atv sales.
Make a cheaper offer if you really want it.Don`t let them think you are set on the RTX.Offer to take it off their hands and get it out of the way to make room for the atvs. They don`t make money with it just sitting there.

Ok ya good idea! I was hoping to do the same thing. I want to wait as long as I possibly can! And hopefully they'll let it go for 8,000. Is that a good deal????

Thanks
Yami Man

I bought a dealer Demo Apex GT with 290 miles on it. Owners sled from the dealer. Had 144 studs, 8" carbides, cover, he threw in the mid-height windshield and a new snow flap from the studs chewing it up when backing. I got free financing until January 1 2007 because it was still considered new and not registered. $8500 + tax. I thought this was a killer deal.
