Just picked up my 07 Apex ER  , and from what I've seen, I am extremely happy with the deal I got!! I paid $7,000 and bought a 4 year Y.E.S warranty for $425! This is my first Yamaha 4 stroke and can't wait to run her. The dealer spent about an hour with me showing me the maintenance aspects and how to get at everything. For those that are intimidated by doing your own maintenance, non sense. These machines can look complicated, but the way Yamaha makes the panels to come apart is great. Looking for a long relationship with my Apex! :jump:

By the way, this site is awesome! Great information..........

Dundeedude,

I am a fellow Illinois Sled Head. Where did you buy it? I am looking to get the YES warranty for mine and looking for the right dealer to purchase it from (as you dont have to buy YES from the dealer you bought the sled from).

After I decided to get a Apex, I researched and researched and researched. Since I travel around with work, it very easy for me to look in other Midwest states. With this said, I called almost every dealer in Illinois and lower Wisconsin. The only dealer that had any Apex's is Highlands. There price is $7,500 and the extended 4 year was $499. I had a trip planned for Minnesota this week so a couple of weeks ago I called a few dealers in MN, and this one in Aitkin, had one left. The owner said he just needs to unload it and he doesn't want to pay more interest on it. He claimes he sold it under cost, which I do believe. Talking with the guys at Highland, they said based on their volume they sell, they always get the biggest dealer rebate. They were pretty confident that the rebate wouldn't be more than what is has been. Needless to say, I jumped all over the one I bought!! Great people to deal with also. Like I mentioned, the certified Yamaha mechanic spent over an hour with me today explaining the whole sled and showing me. I've never had that before. Usually, it's hear you go.....

Yup, that's probably normal...but I think even Port on TY is still selling 4-years for around $500.

Yes, you can buy from any dealer as long as you're in the 1st year warranty period.

Called around & had both $799 & $499 quoted for 48 months. Went in with my trade to work deal dealer punched accessories & 48 YES in the computer looked up value of trade punched it all in & his eyebrows raised on $499 YES & $1100 rebate included. I would have walked if YES came in at $799. Almost seemed to me the Yammie dealers were getting prices off a common main frame & paper pricing was outdated.

That was a STEAL...

Crazy.... Now those are the prices we should be seeing on new sleds.. LOL

Cost is $400. The dealers can and will charge what they want. I would go to your local dealer and work it...
