seat cover ripped at point in the rear above tail light 05

In now 05 my er rx1 seat ripped about half an inch at the point yamaha replaced it but I hade to do the work since I live about 600 miles from my dealer. I wonder if any of you guys have had this happen am I hard on seats or are they streched too tight sure looks like stress from a tight cover. now rtx did it same place bummed out like a nice seat about 2500 miles kim

You hit the top of your seat with the triler cover didn't you. Did that with my old nytro last year, Yamaha Warranty covered it because I didn't let them know what was the cause, they didn't ask and I played stupid...
