2007 VL Fuel Pump + Filter

Hey All, has anyone ever replaced the “sock” like filter attached to the bottom of the fuel pump? Dealership says it’s one unit to the tune of $800+ but it sure looks like it comes off. Thanks

it might be availible separate in an automotive or motorcycle application as they usually fit multiple vehicles.

Thank you maim. However I am quite reluctant to attempt removal if no one has done it before and end up dishing $800 or whatever at Royal or Schmitt bros

I'd try to clean it, maybe with carb or throttle body cleaner or even soaking it in gas. I wouldn't try brake cleaner as that can melt stuff. Looks like you could unclip it and flow whatever cleaner you're using backwards and compressed air.
