2007 Yamaha Phazer- Code 46

Reaching out in hopes of finding a solution for my 2007 Yamaha Phazer. Earlier this season, code 46 appeared on the display while driving, followed by the Phazer dying and needing to be boosted to get a short ride in before dying again. After some research I am in belief that code 46 refers to either a too low/ high voltage in the system. In an attempt to fix the problem the battery was replaced, and the code cleared. After about 2 days of running great, code 46 reappeared causing the initial problem of dying and needing to be boosted. Looking for some insight on possible causes and solutions to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated
