Ok time to come clean... Sorry I wouldn't comment on the boards before... (had my reaons but gladly discussed things off line)
IMHO....
EACH of you guys NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU RIDE need to do 5 things to your sleds. If you want to keep them straight! In order....
* brace the upper a-arms towards the inside
* brace the spindles in the 'bow tie' area where lower arm mounds. you can improve this by covering the whole outside area also.
* tie the front mounting bolt holes of upper a-arms together with a 1"x 3/16" strap steel (you'll have to relocate some electronics but that is easy enough) & notch the piece you are installing.
* box in the WHOLE frame from underneath! (between the skid plate and frame)
*tie together the lower a-arm mounts to each other (between the front and rear mounting points)
* Replace ball joints in lower a-arms with greaseable ones... stock ones show wear with in 200 miles and can be all but completely gone by 1000 miles.
IF you can do these things you sleds WILL be 100% bullet proff of ANY tral conditions! (that was targeted towards the guys that claim they have hit nothing but have bent their front ends! Nothing can stop a direct hit from doing damage!!! We shall try to avoid that!
I can't post pics now as I have a busy week ahead those that do have pics of any of these that I sent them fell free topost if you want....
We have solutions to issues with the rear skid but no one is talking about them nor does it appear anyone else is having issues so until they start cropping up ..... I will post a pic of our rear skid early on and you guys can see some improvements.... (it'll take keen eyes to notice ALL the little changes that were made)
And yea they'll run well over 100mph FULL of fuel while in race trim!!
Thank you Allen Ulmer for your help, knowledge, and parts for tuning on our practice and race sleds!
