That's how I did it with the head on the bench. Much easier that way

74Nitro and Mooseman, thanks so much for your help!! All buttoned up and running good!! I found that the valve clearance was tight both on the intake and exhaust So I took measurements with feeler gauges and resurfaced all the shims to get things back to nominal. Compression was around 130 before repair, now it’s at ~ 180 on all 3
