You really think they would dare to give it to Yamaha three years in a row? - I don't think they would dare - my guess is the XP because it is "new and improved!"

That all depends on what mag you are looking at..

I rememeber one of the mags voted the skidoo MXZ 600 sled of the year one of the last times.

The Nytro and Apex to me are both badass sleds, still to heavy for me as I am a "ditchbanger" who likes off-trail, high speed trail and jumping, not really 4-stroke strong suits. What I mean is they don't have a one sled fits all in their line-up. What I'm waiting for is a 160+hp, <540lb Apex replacement, then I may jump ship back to Yami.

Keep in mind that the RS engine weighs only 2-3 lbs less then the Apex engine. The FX Nytro engine is 8 lbs lighter then the RS engine, that makes the Apex (current) engine around 10 lbs heavier then the FX Nytor engine.

Add 10 lbs to the FX Nytro and you'll end up with 523 lbs dry (no reverse model).
