I am new to the forum and Yamaha. Recently purchased a new 2008 Vector and am concerned with a possible change in rider position compared to my Rev. Sitting on the Yamaha in the showroom, it felt more "traditional" than the Rev. Any thoughts on riders who have been on both?

that the Vector will be much more comfortable over the long haul. I do how ever like to put the miles on in a day. The REV just was never a good fit for me but thats just my .02

Going from my 04 rev to an 07 nytro, I found the nytro to be a little more relaxed but still rider forward. On the nytro I can actually ride in a rev position, or stretch my legs a little more forward to give the knees a break. I love this flexibility in a rider forward sled.

My impression is the Rev has you standing, or your feet nearly under you. The Vector has the same, but also the option of getting your feet out in front of you. There's a reason the new Rev XP chassis has gone more towards being the same way. Feet forward seems much easier on you on longer trips (conditions permiting).
