I'm a long time listener, rare caller.
I have a 2009 Apex Ltx and I just drained the coolant to replace it with engine ice. I failed to pay attention to how much came out. The manual says it has a 6.5 quarts capacity. For those of you that have done this how much did you use to replace it? I have about three quarters of a gallon (about three quarts and it's showing full. I'm sure as I run it for awhile it will go down but I'm also sure it didn't 100% drain.
I drained it from the rear heat exchanger and the hose near the chain case.
Thanks for any replies this site is amazing.

Exact quantity to replace is a tough one to determine, there will be coolant in the system that did not drain out for sure.
Best way to determine if you have enough is by the level in the overflow bottle after running it and making sure all air is out of the system.

raise the rear of the sled and there is a bleed valve in the cross tube above the track in the tunnel if you set the rear height just right you can fill reservoir and press vent and refill reservoir until you have all air out and reservoir is filled. you need to make the vent be at the same height as the reservoir.

How does that engine ice work compare to the regular Coolant? And where can I buy some?I'm a long time listener, rare caller.

Thor is on the correct path .. the exact amount may vary from sled to speed pending on how u drained ... When u refill did u run 50/50 or what was your mix ... When. I drained mine it was like pure gycol , like pea soup green... But just keep fill-in her up , burp it best u can ... And like Thor said .. open the bleeder valve and fill it .. I let mine set for about three days with the bleeder open , till I started to drip , then ran , rechecked for air bubbles , good to go , just make sure BOTH heat exchangers are getting warm... And I'm not so sure about the "ice" I've read alot into it and I'm not 100% sold .. some have reported cooler temps .. I think it's snake oil but I'm no expert ,I'm a long time listener, rare caller.
