Hello.

I been a die hard doo guy, three motors later an bunch of tows and a couple bad crank bearings, I sold my doo and set my heart on a yamaha nytro xtx, I found two I am looking at a 2010 yamaha nytro xtx with 2200 miles on it and a 2009 nytro xtx with 3400 miles on it, they both look good as far as track condition ( through email pictures) theyre both at dealers and are about 1200 apart in price(2010 more), the only difference is the 2009 is only a 3 hr drive away and the 2010 is a 9 hour drice (one way) my question is what should I look for as far as the sled with 3400 miles on it, everything I read they say the nytro is dependable, having no experience with 4 stroke or yamaha just unsure on what to look at to help my decision,
any help will help
thanks
mike

Ps I live in thunder bay which is on the us/canada border so if anyone around the minni area has a nytro for sale please advise

l would look at engine bay as it is hard to clean and usually a good way to see if it was taken care of. also look at the plastic skid plate under motor to see if it has pounded on, hit anything etc... I prefer the 2009 over the 2010, front shocks are a bit longer and better suited to stand up riding. at this mileage you should be planning on installing new front end bushing kit (oilite the best), spindle bushings (upperbushman kit found here), and replacing the exhaust donuts (copper donuts are best).

ps....hand/thumb warmers are #*$&@ and Yamaha heaters with boost required in really cold weather.
