2009 Rear heat exchanger question?

Did a search and cannot find the answer. Do all 2009 Apex's have rear heat exchangers as standard? My dealer has a RTX on the showroom floor and it has one, wondering if all do LTX, LTX GT, GT, ER. It should of been standard all along but wonder if they finally got it right. Thanks

I believe all models in the Apex family are now standard w/rear heat exchangers, I think they became standard on the '08 model year.

All the 09's have them. The long track models hang down in the tunnel, reduce travel and studs hit them. But the 121's are fine.

I know the 08 LTX did not have them.

I would like to buy the rear exchanger but i want to put on a cobra 1.350 with 1.450 studs. will the protectors work or do they have to be shimed???

I custom build mine from Ski-Doo coolers and mount them on top of the extension as not to interfere with susp travel and track.

My dealer put on the oem cooler on my 08 LTX. Rather than take the sled apart to put on the extended protectors, he welded short protectors to the cooler and then overlaid the joints with pieces of a slider.
The 09 will be scratched by studs if you do not lay over a piece of slider to it.
Rear coolers are standard on the 09 LTX but not the 08.

I just added the rear cooler on my Attak, my question is, How much protection do i need to put over the cooler with a 1 1/4" track and 1.375 Studs? Thanks

See the other post going.. I put on 1 3/8 total. I have 1.325 GD's.
