2009 Yamaha RS Venture GT

I just left Yammi's website and viewed the 2009 RS Venture GT. Nice sled, but $10.8K? Ouch!

Most notable is that the GT is now divorced from the regular 2009 RS Venture, with the latter being a carryover from the 2008 model.

FWIW - for the most part the 09 lineup is chock full of BNG's (bold new graphics) and that's it.

You're better off.....make that..WAY better off looking for a leftover new or yr old used 2-up Yami 4S.

Yami better not build too many sleds for 09...not many buyers out there at the prices the OEM's are looking for!

the new venture is definately not BNG.... FI on the 120=nice!!!! better ergos on the 2 up=nice!!! better looks and ride for touring=nice!!!!

This is a nice sled for 09 no doubt about it. Too bad they didnt offer it with the 150 too!!!! w/removable 2up seat portion.... wow that would be hot.....

I think this a reflection of the economy...The big advances projected for 09 have probably been moved out a year or two. If the market is down as a whole, the resulting reduction in sales spike of a significant new product may not be worth the investment of tooling up. They are better off milking the products the have for a while and saving the big guns for better times. Many companies are pulling back for now, trimming and containing costs to maintain profitability during the down market.


This is strange, I had posted this on a thread discussing the new Yamihas and lack of change!!! How did it land here??

Yes I would like to see a 150 hp fi Venture too, but I would rather have Yamaha do alot of R@D on it the last thing any one wants is for a new machine to break down all the time.. You can have the fastest, best performing sled out there but if it's always breaking down and stuck in the shop for repairs all the time , that really ruins the snowmobiling enjoyment...........

I'll be buying 09 Venture GT. Wish it had the Nytro power! It was about time they updated the Venture.
