Rode 270 miles with a friend with his new Cat. Here is is post from artic cat .com
300 miles on my XF turbo and now it will not go into forward gear, only shift in and out of reverse "WTF". Opposite problem that most "reverse issue" guys are having. Was towed 15 miles across a lake in the middle of nowhere Maine by a Yamaha (ouch).
Enough said. I feel sorry for him.

Ya, I believe there is an update for that. I know there is a shim that needs to be in there for it.

Those new cats are painful pieces for sure! One broke the rod at 35 mph with his wife riding it... I feel bad for the guys who spent that money.

I wish I had the pleasure of towing a new cat! havn't had the oppertunity. I have towed plenty Poo's out of the woods though.

Sled freak, He had just taken delivery of that new kitty and his dealer told him all the updates had been done and fixed! Not quite! he had it at home for two rides in 5 days he had it. Yes, it was kinda fun to have that cat on a rope for 15 miles but I never brag or hop it up because we all have our bad days. :yam: :yam: ;)! ;)!

Terry - I felt so bad for him. Has he heard anything back from his dealer yet?

Mid Feb waiting on parts. I really don't think Cat has a fix for the issue. new part same result!
My 2 cents! :yam: :yam: :yam: :yam: :yam: :-o :-o :-o :yam: :yam: :yam: :yam: :yam: :yam: :yam: :4STroke: :4STroke: :4STroke: :4STroke: :yam: :yam: :yam: :yam:

there new add this year was ''the year of the cat'',you would think that a 50th anniversary model would of been thought thru, just hope next year its not ''the end of the cat'' lol

Cat CAN'T afford to screw up too bad, their ATV sales/market share is pretty stagnant so they can't fall back on that like Polaris did a few years ago. Just pointed out to a owner of a new Cat at the gas station that his tunnel was kinked.......... He though I was joking but you should have seen the look on his face when he seen the kink!
