Just installed a hindle pipe, modded air box and pc5, just wondering what you guys are running for clutching ? Need a base line to start with. Sea level , stock track , 220lbs rider

Thanks

Forgot to mention I have super tip weights and a billet helix 42/53

Have you tried it with the weight set up you have now. What's it doing for revs. Most likely it will rev higher. Try google for a search on clutch kits or clutch set up for you sled. It will weed out a lot of the post that have no information pertaining to your question. That is where I search most of the time . The search feature on here needs some work. Unless you like to read for hours on end to find one answer that is your best bet.

Ya I know I have been searching for a while. My current set up engages at 4000rpm and will pull till it hits 9250 or so. Also it has lost all the bottom end I loved and has a stumble when you jam on it from mid throttle. Also horrible on fuel now

Who did you get it from? I'm sure they can help. I have the same mods and it works great so far. Lots of bottom end grunt, mid range and top end improved big time.

Is it a stumble or are you hearing a little pop. If it a pop sound you are hearing it is normal. If it falls flat for a second and then goes again then it is in your mapping possibly. Did you buy this kit used or new.

Ulmer would be able to tell you where to start with the weights. I believe those are what he sells in his clutch kits. You are about 250 rpms high . Most guys try to clutch for 8900 - 9000rpm.

Yep he is right. Ulmer sells that hindle kit, and a matching clutch setup for the sled. Should be able to get you dialed in with clutching, and gearing if wanted
