I've got an oil filter that was for my 04 Rx Warrior or 06 YZF600R (both gone now) part # 5GH-13440-00. The RS Vector oil filter # is 5DM-13440-00-00. Are these filters interchangeable? I haven't taken the Vector apart yet to compare the two but the numbers are the same other than the GH vs DM.

Depends on the length.
The '10 Vector HAS to use the short filter. The opening in the bellypan is very tiny, barely enough room to get the shorty filter in there.
If it's a stock "Yamaha" filter, it will probably work. But, don't hold me to it.
Best way is to pull the filter off & try....

The Warrior filter is slightly longer but the threads are the same. It may be difficult to install because the opening at the bottom of the Vector is tight and the filter location is at the bottom back of the engine on the vector while the Warrior filter location is at the bottom front of the engine.

OK Thanks guys. I will buy a new one and when I change the oil I will see if the old one fits, otherwise I may as well throw it away. If it does fit I will keep the new one for next time.

I wasn't gonna say anything, but since you brought it up... LOL!!
Yea, the opening could be "modified" to accept the bigger filter.
Your very welcome James.

5gh will not work on 3 cylinder models. If your 5gh is still in the original packaging maybe they'll work it in a trade for the correct filter?
