This is a 200mi review of my new 2010 nytro rtx se sled. I have road 3000mi plus for the last 13 years straite I have owned yamaha= 700sx, 700srx, 700 viper, apex. Other sleds that i have owned are 2005 800 revX and 2003 Blade HPO 800. I mostly ride tug hill in NY, trails have a wide range of conditions from hard pack fast sweeping trails to tight woods mogels. I am 6'2" tall and weight 260. I have only begun to adjust the shocks on the sled and if anyone has any better setups I would love to try them. I have the fox float X set at 80lbs withe the compression damping set at 12 clicks out from full compression and rebound set at 13 clicks out. If I run at any less compression the sled rolls in corners to much. The rear shock I have the hi speed compression set three clicks out from full and the low speed about one turn out from full. I have the xclick spring cams installed with it set on full hard. Sled rides ok on flat trails with long sweeping corners but it will not turn, It seems to push in the corners and if it grabs then the inside ski lifts and sled seems unstable. I feel like I have to thow the sled into the corner and try to skid around not drive around. The track seems to hook up well but I cant break loose in corners, in hard pack conditions. In mogels sled seems to pitch side to side some but if riden hard will bottom often I have about 3" of sag at stand still. I adjusted the rear shock low speed compression untill sled would not bottom but then it felt like there was no suspension at all. Hand warmers work ok engine runs good clutching backshift very slow. It took me two years to get my apex set up I hope it doesnt take that long to get this sled set up. Do I need to get my shocks revalved they don't seem to have a very wide range of compliance. Next I am going to try pilot 5.7 skis and the floats set at 75lbs.
add ons
also the the clutch rattles so much at idle that the sled sounds like it has a kobota diesel engine. The headlight is ok at best, very easy to outrun.

Try some Shaper Bars before you replace the skis. I had the same problem on my XP. I just put them on my XTX, they seem to work OK in the field. I may go riding on trails this weekend. Will check back in. I also talked to my local dealer and suspension set up will make or break riding it. Did you look at the set up chart?

first dont spend a dime, check the suspension chart...
i noticed you didnt mention a word about the center shock... it sounds to me like it is pushing the front of the sled off the ground, you say you cant go below 85psi on the floats and the front rolls a lot when you turn and pushes a lot... sounds like the center shock is keeping the front of the sled off the ground...

I put pilots on which made a huge difference. Also, try backing off the center shock spring. This helped a lot with the push in corners. Then you can play with the high/low speed compression on that shock.
