I am interested/anxious to here how the 2010's due in the real world. They made so many changes that guys are doing on the forum. IE suspension, tunnel, eliminating the sway bar to shave off the weight and improve ergo's etc. IMO yamaha sure listen to the mountain riders but time will tell I guess. But in Canada the price went up around $2000 from an 08. I think you will see the used/mod market jump huge!! What can you do for 08 MTX worth about $8-9500, that is lot of upgrades, almost a turbo in that price.

At least the heart and soul genisis 130 efi still stayed the same ;)!

If the diff between a 10 and 08 stock for stock is ~8-9k $.
and your willing to do some modding/work...definately the way to go is the 08 and do the mods/upgrades yourself.
You should be way ahead of the stock 10. :)

Not sure if your debating this, or what..but its a no brainer, assuming you don't mind doing the modding/work.

Track, rear suspension...boost...and call it good.
Guarantee that stock 10 won't be anywhere close to fun factor. ;)

I thought one of the biggest changes was the approach angle for 2010. But they still didnt address that track.

08 - change the track, skid, front shocks, boards, add a Relocator and boost and your way ahead of the game in my opinion. Its the same bullet proof motor - everythign else is cosmetic.
