We all know this is preliminary at best, but it's looking good for folks in the midwest and northeast.
Let the speculation begin!

Well, if they are right, it sure looks good for Michigan

In north of sweden we have had about 200mm of rain in september...... as you all know that translates inte roughly 2 metres of snow....... so my predictions is a slow start this winter...

From all the reports I have read, the weather scientists are predicting a repeat of last winter for the northeast US. Yes there was plenty of snow but we got too many warm ups with rain. I'd prefer for the temps to stay well below freezing fom Nov 1 to April 15.
Who knows, we will have to wait and see as always.

Well....
We had flurries at our plant site in central NB yesterday. No accumulation, but it won't be long.
My sensible side (and our weather station) confirms we are getting more precip annually and it's not too seasonal...translation: more and earlier snow in recent winters that easily lasts until May.
My unreasonable/superstitious side says since I have a new(er) MTX to try...we won't have any snow at all this winter!
Take that!

Was at Gogibic for a week in February and got melted out. Too Warm!
Let's hope we don't have a repeat of last year in that regard.
Well, it´s 081111 and not a single snow flake
supposed to be over 0 degrees the entire month.....

Here in northern MN the long term winter forecast has looked really good. But i'm not holding my breath. We're in a drought for the last few months without hardly any rain or precipitation. And while it's been cold at night with a lot of frost, then it warms up to 50's every day and is bright and sunny. No rain or snow anywhere to be seen in the short term forcast either.
