I have a 07 attak and like the power, rode a new 11 apex std with only 130 miles, I rode for about 10 miles trying to compare the two and my buddy rode about 6 miles he rides a 07 machz anyway we both thought the 11 was way down on power compared to my stock attak. My ? is when these get broken in about 1k miles do they pick up alot more pull feeling, I have had an rx1 and my attak and also a 05 vector as far as 4 strokes and do understand they pick up a bit after breakin butt the 11 apex feels like my 05 vector at 118 hp. I am not bashing I love yamis and that is all I ever ride. I just want to know from people who own this sled does it feel like it picks up 40hp after breakin. I really was not impressed with the power at all, now the ride and pwr steering was great, just don't want to lose power or seat of the pants feel for the grunt that my rx1 and attak have had. I know my rx and attak had more power from the get go than the 11s we rode. Thanks for any honest info new owners of apex's could give on this that have more than 1k miles on their sleds.

Read my compare post from today. The 2011 is almost equal to the 2007 at first, but after 500 miles, the 2011 is quite a bit stronger...especially the midrange power, and the hole shot, but the 2011 is a xtx, so it should hole shot better. Top end is close, but the 2011 is 1-2 mph faster.

It's funny you mention this, 'cause I thought the same thing while breaking in my SE. I was actually disappointed the first couple of rides with that "seat of the pants" feel. However, on the third day after passing 300 miles, the sled changed personalities. Odd as it may sound, but the truth. It definitely has the whollop that everyone who has one was referring.

My riding buddy has just past 1500 miles on his. R's wouldn't go over 10,000 when new. Now they crack 10900 on a long run. Looking to add a little weight in the stock arms soon. All I can tell you is it just keeps getting stronger. We have too much powder to race now but he was beating me with 300 mi on his and his is stronger now!!!

I would classify the 11 Apex as "sneaky fast"

My SE felt slow to me. I do have limiter up 2 holes and only 1/4 transfer.

I ran it at 300 miles against a 2010 XP 800 that was close to my 06 Apex GT. [It was 2 lengths faster than the GT in 1,000 feet and still is]

I was pleasantly surprised when my 11 SE put about 5 lengths in 1,000 feet on the XP even though the SE feels slow.

Sneaky Fast !!!!!!!
