Im putting the skid back in its a 129 inch I took the rear bolt out of the torque arm and put straps on both sides and ratcheted them as tight as they would possibly go .The straps are wrapped around the tube the front skid mounting bolt goes through as well as the back skid mounting hole tube. Im trying to put the fronts in first and I'm an inch to far forward ,What am I doing wrong ?should the 2 screws on the bottom of the limit straps be off ?

Compress the rear spring to another location. Make sure the front of the sled is lifted off the ground for more clearance for the suspension.

I loosen or disconnect the transfer rod...front first, then the rear then reconnect transfer rod

Shouldn’t need to do anything with limiter straps.
This torque arm you talk about is it actually the adjustable transfer rod? If so, taking one bolt out and dropping transfer rod should be all you need to do to install skid. Never had to use ratchet straps ever.
Need to get sled elevated to get front mount bolts in first, be careful not to clip and break the plastic bushings on a rivet on the way in. Make sure tension is completely off the track too.
Getting the rear bolts in can be tricky, there is a sweet spot where it all lines up, combination of sled height off floor and positioning of skid.
Last thing you do after skid is bolted up is compress skid slightly until rear transfer rod bolt lines up.
I have also found it makes life easier if you loosen the two set screws on the drive axle bearing speedo side to allow the tunnel to expand slightly, I have even made a wooden wedge up to open up the tunnel, less fighting the front swing arm installation, tighten set screws up after skid is bolted up tight.
Cheers

For anyone doing this for the first time its extremely simple no straps needed. Once the rear torque arm bolt is removed the key is you need to have the sled high enough to allow the skid to be positioned back in place once in place lower the sled back down to just a couple inches off the ground then every thing bolts up without any muscle . Once bolted up put sled back on the ground then put light pressure on seat to reinstall the torque arm bolt it was so ez I really couldn't believe it thanks to everyone that responded.....
