Had my stock apex(air box, power commander and clutching) out to the past couple of nbssr radar runs and have gotten it to run 110 MPH in 1320(my wife driving) pretty consistently. This past weekend I decided to put a speed track on it and see if it would pick up at all. I went down at 108, my wife ran 109.9(which is within .5 of what it always runs), so I was a little disappointed the speed track didn't pick up much. My kids have been bugging me all year to be able to go down so I let my 15 yr old start running this year - best he's run is 108.9, always gets beat by his mom. This past weekend I let my 13 yr old little Robbie take it - first run was 108 - I told him to take it easy, and he said I did dad - I let off!! So next run was 112.9, next run was 114!! So he's a pretty happy boy!

I would be very happy with those speeds in a 1/4 mile,a few years ago now up in Poland springs maine we had some speed runs on a pond that a bunch of guys just plain play on,and a guy has radar set up,our apex's all ran 116-118 on 2000 ft. and Lawrence stiles a friend of mine had his set up just for speed, all stock except speed track,he was consitanty 124-126 mph not bad for just gearing and clutching.

That is a great speed. I don't know what mine will do on ice in 1320. It has done on radar 107 in 1320 on hard groomed snow.

At least it's started going in the right direction! i put a speed track on this yr and the sled hasn't been performing nearly as well as it did with the old regular track. i had to tighten the heck out it so it wouldn't jump the drivers. i've installed extroverts and now run a looser track, changed my spring and helix. i picked up 17mph in the same distance. i'm going to try it out this weekend. i don't think i'm going to be running with you or ernie but i won't be far behind

I am thinking of going with PCV air box mod and clutch on my 11 XTX. sled is not very impressive on power or top end. not sure if I should go to D & D or Ulmer?? My 07 attack runs much stronger than the XTX, the 2011 has no chance against the 07 attack on top end??

Not my experience.
Did some radar tests last year.
Approx 1500' on snow. [Groomed Trail]
Attak 105 mph
2011 Apex SE, 106 mph
2013 Apex SE, 109 mph
All sleds bone stock, no clutching.
XTX's are supposed to be 1.2 mph faster than 128's
