Hey guys so I stripped the threads on one of my shocks the front right in considering ordering a replacement because I can't get the locking washer to get down the threads to lock the adjustment of the spring. I see a replacement shock for around 300 to 350 cad on eBay but I was wondering if there is a pair of shocks I can buy for something around 500 that would be better then the oem ones I have on there right now thanks.

I run GYTR's and am pleased with the ease of adjustment.

That being said, if it is the aluminum nut that is stripped, not the shock body, and you want to try and salvage the shock, what I have done in the past is make a cut in the aluminum nut with a hacksaw until almost down to the shock body threads, then take a hammer and chisel in the saw cut to break the nut apart. It may have left aluminum debris galled up on the shock body threads, but you can clean it up and salvage the shock. Then you just need to find new aluminum lock nuts.
There are some used take off shocks on Kijiji if you want to replace with stock.

Cheers

I stripped the shock body pretty badly, where are the take offs located? Can you post a link please :)
