2011 yamaha extrovert drivers on an 06 RS Nytro

I was looking at the extros used on the 2011 sleds and was wondering if I could replace my outer drivers with them. The 2011's and 06's have different part numbers for the inner drivers so I thought the indexing might be different or something. Anyone tried it?

Assuming both tracks are 2.52 pitch, it should work. I hate to state the obvious, but make sure you track is full punched. I believe my 06 Nytro's came with a stock ripsaw that was not fully punched.

yeah, I should have stated that I'm stretching it to a 144 and using a fully clipped and punched track

I'm thinking the drive shaft is larger on the '11?

Thats not to say you couldn't make that part of your plans as well - to maybe head off the next problem. I think if you're interested in extros I might be checking into doing something like that further...

ahicks is correct: the 2010 and 2011 have a larger diameter drive axle.
Just went through this with a 2008 and put Wahl Bros drivers on it. $155 from Dennis Kirk.
