2012 Apex SE-What length chain for 23 / 37 gearing ?

Hello,

I have a 2012 Apex SE which supposedly has stock geaing of 24/37 with a 70 link chain. I want to drop one tooth on the top and install a 23 tooth gear. Do I need to replace the stock chain ? Any info appreciated. I did search but could not find a definitive answer.

The formula is : add the two numbers together. If the sum is 60 or less.. then use the 68 link chain. If the sum is 61 or more then you need the 70 link chain. So in yourt case, if you drop the one tooth, you will need a 68 link chain.
