Hi all,
Wondering if any of you who have ordered and received your 2012 sleds can do me a favor? I found out yesterday that Yamaha changed connectors for the key switch on the 2012 Nytro Mountain sled. It is a water tight connector instead of the standard connector they were using previously. I am trying to find out if this was only on the mountain Nytro or on ALL models. Nobody at Yamaha Canada or US that I have spoken to seems to know yet. Usually there is a tech book that is for each year but as of now I am told it's not out yet. I may be able to
So in the mean time I could REALLY use some help in making sure dealers or end users don't have any other surprises when hooking up a SledStart or Yamaheater kit.
Anyone who can help with key switch and brake switch connectors that would be a huge help to me and Rock from Yamaheater as he uses the brake connector as well. Below are some pictures of what is currently used and what I found on a 2012 Nytro mountain sled. I only have info on the 2012 Nytro mountain sled key switch. Rock is at the Syracuse show now and looking at sleds but most likely these are protos and I want info on production sleds.
THANKS TO ANYONE WHO GIVES INPUT. IF YOU SUPPLY US GOOD PICTURES AND NEED A YAMAHEATER, SLEDSTART OR HID KIT, WE'LL GIVE YOU A GOOD DISCOUNT OR THROW YOU A SWEATSHIRT WITH YOUR ORDER OR SOMETHING...
These 3 pictures are the ignition switch connector on the 2012 Nytro mountain. if anyone can let us know if your 2012 has these that would be great. Wire colors would be great as well. the previous years were a blue/white, red/white and brown wires, Also the brake connector may look similar to this as well but only be a 2 pin connector with most likely a blue/red wire on one side and a green wire on the other.
Below is the current style connector for the key switch. Either a 4 pin or 6 pin.
below is the current brake switch connector:
Huge thank you for any input on this! I do have a few other sources I am checking but would like to get as much info as quick as possible so we can stay on top of this for the SledStart and Yamaheaters.
