Did a search and my problem seems a little different so I thought it would be best to start a new thread.

My phazer fires right up and runs for around 30 seconds or so and then dies. If I keep turning the key it will fire back up. THe idle begins around 2200RPM cold but will be intermitten and lower to the point it stalls.

Just went to all the work to put new spark plugs in. Same problem. I thought fuel filter. Found out its part of a very expensive pump.

Could throttle bodies be dirty. What is the best way to clean therm?

Has anyone tried running injector cleaner you just dump in the gas tank? I thought about draining the tank dry and putting fresh fuel in with injector cleaner.

The phazer is a 2012 GT with 5000 miles and always ran pretty good. I didn't notice any issues tell late spring when I got them out to clean them and had it running to put back in the trailer.

Throttle body could be dirty. I have never cleaned one. I am sure its a bugger to get off. When it wants to die if you give it some throttle does it just kill or will it try and stay running?

Have you pulled all the gas and put all new fuel in?

I think giving it gas makes it worse unless your are very careful on how its done. I have not pulled the gas yet but that is the next step.

I would get rid of the gas and report back. Maybe some new plugs. Have you been starting it off and on in the off season?

start with new gas and plugs. then make sure that all the intake path bolts are tight and not stripped. had issue with 09 rtx that a stripped mount bolt was the cause of a fueling issue.

Intake path bolt? Do these hold the throttle bodies on or the airbox on? Got a picture?

Is there a number that shows up on the dash when it shuts off?
Sounds like an oil pressure problem.

no i do not have a picture as my brother found it when he had it apart during service. one of the mounting bolts for the air box/throttle bodies was stripped so that it would not hold tight. kept causing a tors like bog at high trail speeds that octane booster did help with but didn't eliminate.

Good to know I will check that as well. Thanks

I will let you know what I find. I have been busy getting shocks rebuilt on all of our sleds and reinstalling them. Now that those are getting done I will find time to get back on this issue after this weekend of deer hunting.

make sure air box sensors are pluged in properly as that causes issues as well. we forgot to plug them in once

Wow, from what I can tell in a 10 minute run it is fixed. I little idle for around 5 minutes until idle dropped down. It was warming up between 2200-2500 rpm. after it dropped down to around 1600 I started to rev it and spin the track. I had to align the track becasue I had the suspension out to rebuild the shocks. Got the track aligned. It never stallled however once it was completely warmed up the idle would drop down to 1200-1400. It would drop dangerously low after initailly getting off the flipper. Is this normal?

All I did was siphon the gas out of the tank and put in fresh premium fuel.
