Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum and to Yamaha snowmobiles.
I am picking up a 2012 Venture GT Friday night in Pembina ND. I bought site unseen through Road Track & Trail in Great Bend WI and they shipped it to ND for me. The sled has 87 miles on it and appears to have not been used since 2011/12 season. It has about 1/2 tank of fuel, I will assume is old with no stabilizer.
Thoughts and suggestions please as to what to look for etc. As engine isn't even close to being broken in, I want to minimize any potential engine damage. My plans are to only run the engine enough to get it on and off the trailer, drain and add fresh fuel and treat it. Not sure if it would need fogging etc.
Thanks and looking forward to many miles of uninterrupted pleasure which was not the norm with 2 strokes.

It may not hurt to change the oil.

Thanks Mooseman,
Because of the extremely low mileage and it sitting for awhile, I want to be careful.
Will drop the oil, fresh gas, and SeaFoam just to be safe. Will give the gas a good sniff first to see how bad it may be.
Thanks,

Wow what a find!!
I would bring a house and siphon the gas down pre start then add good new fuel with Seafoam and when it starts let it run for a good long while til heat exchanger warm all the way around . Once home change Iola's has been said and h
Then wax on wax off etc
