I will be in Greenland, Michigan riding. I will keep up to date from the guys at Pat's Yamaha.......and from the web if I can get service aroung there.

Booked my hotel room at the Hilton three weeks ago, should be fun!

Just got back from the show I have to say I feel a lot better about the new sled after seeing it in person and talking to the yamaha reps at the show. They admitted they had a few things yet to work out but still had an open mind to hear about concerns from one blue blooded yamaha fan so I'm optimistic for the future. Also got to talk to a few guys about the five new models in five years that was brought up in another thread and they said they are in no way commited to them coming from thief, I know take it for what it's worth, but there is defiantly hope for the future.

Same here. My UP trip got cut short so I was in town and decided to go to the show. I got there right at 4PM. I heard everything you said too.

Funny thing is the Yamaha people are saying the SR Viper is about 20-25 lbs. lighter than a Nytro. I beg to differ. I picked the front end of the SR Viper up with no problem. I went to do the same to a Nytro and you have to be half gorilla to lift that front end. I think it's more like I heard from some others..........like about 50-70 lbs. Lifting the back ends up was about the same.

I'm assuming some of the things they are working on include the seat? I noticed at the show tonight that there was a GIANT gap between the front of the seat and the plastics. Only the one towards the back with the dummy sitting on it looked like it should, with no gap. All the seats seemed loose as well.
