First off want to say thanks for the help on a previous issue I was having.

I'm trying to help a fellow sledder out so this is not my sled.

Guy is having an issue with the sleds rpm climbing to 4200 rpm and the only way he can get it idle down is either shutting it off, or pulling the breather tube out of the airbox and partially covering it

I'll go out on a limb and suggest a vacuum leak. Not sure what sled - are there carb/throttle body boots? Check for cracks.

x2. was thinking the same thing as a possibility. Grab a bottle of brake cleaner and with the engine warm and running, not hot, spray around the throttle bodies and any vacuum lines coming off them. If idle reacts to the spray you have a leak.

Iv spayed it all down for vacuum leaks and nothing thinking more map sensor or wiring but don't know how to test the map sensor

This is what the guy said to me when I sent him what y'all had suggested.
