I am happy to report that my 2012 XTX is officially broke in. We had warm temps with packed snow on Gogebic last Thursday. It was near perfect to open the sleds up.
I'm running pretty much stock, no studs, and Woody's Dooley's up front. 113mph on GPS is fine by me!
I was very impressed with this machine in the whooped out trails too. I swore I was not going to let my buddy on his MXZ with R-motion run away from me. So I stuck to his bumper and we banged out the 1'-1.5' bumps for many miles. It's amazing how they smooth out around 65mph. The EPS just allowed me to hang on while getting to that bump-bridging speed. It's a bit un-nerving learning this technique. And I suppose it is old hat to most of you guys. When you are 60 miles out of Houghton with only Trail 3 to get home on, you learn to bash bumps at 65mph.
Enjoy that new Apex!! I am!
