Hello! New to four strokes and there torque so here's what im looking for on a 2015 SRviper ltx-dx with 2000miles, broke in,and completely stock, upgraded the skies only..
Id like to change the gearing ONLY to start with this year. The conditions in QC I ride are similar; 20+ miles on flat river trails, Rail-beds and park roads... flat and fast routinely. I Only ride these conditions..
..My average trail speeds are consistently up there..goal is bringing the rpms down while keeping top speed and gaining some mpg possibly(i've done this on 2-stroke Polaris's routinely with success, although a cluth kit and some secondary work was needed in the end to be dialed in.)-different power curve
So, from reading these forums and understanding gear ratios, I see many options. What have you guys found that routinely works well for my application. top gear, top gear & chain, complete gear set w/chain?? (60g weights if need be but thats it on the clutch end for now)and the ratio??
THANK You in advance as it is appreciated

Thank you! With the 21-41, as i haven't dug up Yamaha gear&chain ratio/mph chart yet, would the stock chain be usable or would it be advisable to get an aftermarket chain/gear set IYO?...21-41 is the go to gearing which is found in an xtx.
