Cant believe how hard the 15 LE takes off in the video that sled pulls pretty good for a short distance.....Is it stock? What does your turn for Rpm and top end speed I see yours is not stock?
That run had Ulmer clutch kit, MBRP can, and may have had DIY air box mods.
The big track is a blast and really defines the sled. It hooks most any place you want it to. That said, the track really has no place on a trail sled. The lugs are so stiff that they begin to separate.
At that point in time I was running the K helix and the RPM's were down at the top speed. Later we went to the H and took out some weight and it started to perk up a bit at upper speeds, but that's still a lot of track to sling.
I tried lots of different combos with Ulmers weights and also COTC, but nothing came out of the hole like the Ulmer original calibration. Corner to corner and as a trail sled it's awesome. Working on giving it some legs up top by regearing. I plan to run the 1.7 track initially and see how bad it falls apart before deciding if I want to replace with same or something more mild.

I've got 6 SRX's for sale now that I bought my viper. I'll keep one for an extra sled for friends to use but just sitting on the SRX now I can't believe I rode them for so many years

I also have the le, thing is a blast, I have a hurricane turbo on it with stick gearing, and the hurricane clutch kit. On hard lack trails I would pull 95 mph on a good day at about 8900 rpm. This year I got the clutches machined, and am going to put a cold at intake on, see how it goes. I'm hoping to see 100 plus mph, tho time will tell, need some snow to find out. The biggest issue I had was in soft snow my top rpms would be pulled down, to about 8400-8500 and I'd see 80-85 mph. I got a new helix from Dave, see how it goes, hoping to see a more consistant 9000-9100 rpm. And ya the track does fling #*$&@, no diffrent than my ski doo 800 mod, it's not all bad , least you don't gotta worry about your buddies right up your #*$&@ haha. Overall love the le, just has a couple issues like any other sled. I still don't have the rear suspension set up the way I like it, may get the rear shocks revaled but gonna try a couple things first. If you get one tho I'm sure you'll love it!

The track for. Fall apart to, in 1800 miles I've lost one lug... The rest of the track looks perfect but in my ski doo after 5000 miles roughly (and a couple times jumping a road and hitting the concrete first ....) there's not many lugs left.... But love the track and when it goes I'll buy another one and swap It out

I love mine it has great acceleration the suspension requires some adjustment. It's a blast to ride I came off a 440/700mod sno pro and was very pleased with it. I have ulmers clutching along with his intake, PCV, and a osp exhaust and it pulls like a train you can lift the skis straight up and ride the bumper. If you are looking for a sno cross sled feel it dose a great job, after coming off a sno cross sled I wasn't disappointed. Only thing I wish was it had a bit more top end but I wouldn't give that acceleration for a few mph on top. I also swapped the skis out to a set of c&a xt to make it fell more like a race sled, the large track with the clutching is also surprisingly well in deep powered snow. I can stress enough how pleased with this machine it was everything I hoped for you won't be dissiponted if you buy one.

Thanks for all the input guys.......at this point I think I am leaning toward a 13 Tucker Hibbert 800.....I just don't think I will be impressed by the top end of the vipers and the weight of the 4-stroke over the lightness of a 2-stroke its going to be hard after riding Yamaha's for 30+yrs

13 THibbert had the true race skid and Kashima shocks. We sold a ton of 13 rr's with the Kashimas for 8500-10000 depending on time of year. Was sled I almost bought before signing up for Viper which costed much more. Reason. That winter I saw 3 peoples weekends ruined by bad gas in the 2 strokes. Also in 13 the belt issues were still huge issue. I bought my Viper because I can't afford a mistake or potentially unreliable sled and at time the RTX Viper was the closest thing to that RR but more of a sure thing reliability wise. Riding the Viper will seem much lighter than SRX! I believe Viper even weighs less.

What is the vipers weight someone must have put one on a scale?
Highly doubt its much less than the SRX.....viper suspension makes up for the lack of HP and top end though no argument there
