There will be a demo ride for some of the 2015 models located out of Trails Head in Black Hills, SD on Friday & Saturday March 28th & 29th this weekend! If you want to try out the new SR Viper MTX, here's your chance!

Trails head is a lodge that connects a lot of different trails. It's southwest of lead/deadwood. It's almost on the Wyoming border.

There is plenty of parking for truck/trailer, gas, food, rentals.

Nice place, hit it a couple of times this year on my trips to SD. 4 corners bar in WY is a very short ride.

There is supposed to be a SR Viper XTX LE, SR Viper MTX 153, SR Viper MTX 153 SE, SR Viper MTX 162 LE, and SR Viper MTX 162 SE as well. There will be several with boost.

Is there going to be snow, just wondering since its pretty far south of me and i dont know what its like down there, id like to go if there's snow.

SD has a really good trail map that is updated daily, looks like the trails around trailshead are still all in 'good' condition, so I'd guess riding this weekend will still be possible. Won't be great, but usable.

They had snow as of Saturday the 22nd they had received a few inches of fresh snow and had good snow before that. The trails in a few areas might be getting low (areas where the sun hits the trail all day), but overall the conditions are still very good. I would guess Friday will be good yet, by Saturday afternoon it may get worse as it is supposed to get pretty warm out there on Saturday.

Lucky!

I went out and rode them this morning. I can't comment on the longer versions because as a crossover rider I selected the XTX LE 141" with a turbo on it. We did quite a bit of messing around in the trees and for a shorter length it did well.

On the straightaways the thing was a rocket and sounded like a turbine when you spun it up. When you punch the front will hang until you let off. They stressed they were pre-production so things like handling and clutching are not quite dialed in just yet. We took them out for about 45 minutes so it was a good ride. They were all turbos except for one NA 162" that the rep drove.

The attached sled is the one I rode.

turbo xtx

I was wondering if anyone can confirm where or if I can get a factory turbo in an xtx. I noticed in earlier posts people said certain states etc. But its not on any website and every dealer I have talked to has said no you can't. Thanks
