It has 13000 km 8000 miles on it, and i often have to turn it of to get it in reverse and then restart in reverse. Could it be the primary clutch spring that has gone weak? Anybody else who have had the same problem?

what is the idle set at? sounding like it might be a bit high. a new primary spring is not a bad idea as they are usually around $20-30.

Could be the belt is too high in the secondary.
Maybe the bolts need replaced and/or the washers removed.

At coldstart the rpm is about 2000 rpm and it engages the clutch slightly and wants to move.
When the engine gets warm the rpm is about 1300 and the clutch dont engage.
Whats the original clutch engagement rpm

I have a friend with a Venture and it made a big difference just spraying all the linkage attached to the shift handle with some lithium grease. But, as was said before if your belt is a little to tight and there is pressure on the chaincase it will be hard to shift. Since it is easier when the sled it off that is probably what is happening.
