its amazing how yamaha could easily market this turbo motor for years just by a simple muffler and ecu reflash..they could market more hp the next 5-8 years without braking the bank!!was just thinking how easy they have it in the near future..now they need to concentrate on a new chassis!!will the apex die?

They'll be lucky to keep good sales numbers since they've screwed many of the Yamaha faithful this year with the spring LE scam.

so i was watching a yamaha dealer video from last spring and the guy is on his knees pointing out the beefy rails that come with them,is that what there accussed of not doing?

yes it's very easy to make power once the turbo is on. The difference is when YOU add power over stock anything from the throttle lever to the snow is your baby when it comes to repairs. If Yamaha is adding the power they will engineere for it, clutches, jackshaft, chain, gears, driveshaft, suspendtion, etc! Yamaha won't stand the warranty cost at over $100/hr dealer shop rate because some down stream parts aren't built for the task!

EPS...don't get me started.....my god.. last year i said to my 3 freinds that had ZR9000's , the most perfect sled i could wish for would be a ZR9000 with a Yamaha motor, EPS and better shocks... you realize the Sidewinder LE has 2 out 0f 3... with my getting older elbows and shoulders, the EPS is all that is missing to make this the perfect sled.. oh and Yamaha, if you're going to make it, why don't you make it adjustable...so we can customize it according to terrain, skis, and agressiveness... (low, med, High power steering i mean) this would be yet another first in the industry...:ban:
