Cardo Packtalk Bold experience, and communications in general

Now bear in mind these are "Edges" and not "Bolds" . Interesting note is that this am the battery level is back up to 75% after warming up. Perhaps the Edge has a battery which is more suspectable to cold (we were riding at -15c) The other thing is the odds of getting three brand new duds.

Could be. I have no experience with the edge. Where on your helmet is the edge mounted, can you send a pic.

I do have some contacts at Cardo, I will reach out to them and see if they have an opinion.

Mounted standard position bottom edge left side slightly to the rear. Not a lot of options on mounting these and would look preety dorky mounted on something wierd like top or back of helmet. They say that they are only operate down to -20c, not made for snowmobiling apparently. Should have researched this more before dropping $1500 collectively on these.

Rating is the same as the bold.

You by now must be using the LJE USB C Power Interface for the Cardo's... I used Chatterbox x1's for 20 yrs and decided to upgrade or change to smaller modern types. We'll bought the Chatterbox X2C due to longer range but not pleased so far. Speakers aren't like the 45 mm JBL's. Although if close to your ear not bad. I have a Mission and the way the boom mic mounts it can't be used with the mission like the Cardo's. So Vox doesn't work much at all. I have to use the push to talk button which is wireless but still. I'm going to try putting the button mic on a thin plastic piece and velco it to the front so it sticks up high off the lower part of the helmet and hopefully get's up high enough to my lips and still be able to close the helmet. I just got them at the end of our season so I haven't used it but one time. Same price as Cardo's. No one uses Chatterbox anymore so I might of made a mistake and just sucked up the range issue with the Cardo's.
