FYI...The 2022 is a 1976 replica, not 1978Well, let's just hope Yamaha doesn't follow suit like they did in 2022 and release a retro 1978 SRX or in 2024 and release a retro 1980 SRX:

Gold/Black 2024 SRX is a tough one to resist. After having 3 1980 SRX's back in the 90's, crashed two, but the motor survived each time and lived again in the 3rd chassis.
It received the port and polish treatment on heads and cylinders, slide carbs, and It was a freaking rocket running a new belt for those days with no suspension. It didnt hold together well during cartwheels on the lake or high jumps.
The windshield would collapse at high speed. the dream meter would get to 100mph.
I smartened up after those days escaping with only bruised ribs.
