240 tune clutching

Wrapping spring tighter mostly effects engagement or backshift, correct. Doesn't do much for full shift belt sqeeze.
Doesn't change engagement. Yes, affects backshift. Will pinch belt more all through the shift.

What helix and secondary spring is 19 update, i believe they are geared lower also, which makes difference

Decided to try the 19 update parts on his 17. So 35-39, with the different Yamaha secondary spring and we left the heavy rivet in the end hole instead of swapping to the aluminum since we added ecotrail tune. I'd like to do some flat out top end pulls on it and give more feedback but conditions were not quite good enough today.
However, coming out of corners and squeezing it rpm's were 85-8700 like I wrote above.

Yes hurricane tune has lots of low end go

Go read what I posted on #10 for the setup you want for a 240 tune so you don't blow more belts and look silly against the 850s. Your clutch setup your running now is really messed up and setup for a stock sled.

Curious specs on 19 secondRy spring

Its an old Apex Pink spring. Not worth having. Get that idea on the 19 stuff out of your head, you don't want that spring on a tuned sled! I wouldn't even want it on a stock sled!

Doesn't make sense yami goes with bigger helix and lighter spring and I have smaller helix with heavier spring??

The other thing I notice is this setup has lots of back shift, like when you let off you dont need brakes to slow down

Understood on light spring, maybe I'll throw in the 37/35 helix I have with black orange at 60, should give more squeeze as shift stalls

that's not a bad thing. Once you get a good spring in the secondary and more weight on the arms it'll be a wash and the backshift will remain the same

you're gonna need more wrap on that Black/ Orange regardless.

Is it worth temporarily changing stock spring hole location for more belt grip?
I have a Dalton B/O on order but not here yet.
18 LTX stock spring is in 3-3, stock helix. I have STM weights with stock primary spring, 225-270 tune, aligned and zero float. Trying to get clutch temps down when running the twisties.
