I'll be there Friday and Saturday. Weather forecast looks good for the next week. Daytime highs will get in the low to mid 30's, but should fall back into the low 20's at night. That should allow the trails once groomed to set up fairly good. Is a chance of snow showers next Friday and saturday, but nothing much.

Viperman and I rode 119 miles today, broke trail about 30 of it! Some clubs were getting out with groomers later in the day and most will be out tonight for sure. We are heading towards Sherburne Saturday. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we get a little fresh stuff during the next week. My sled developed the infamous exhaust donut leak and will be going into the shop Monday. 5,000 miles, I knew it would happen soon. They have them in stock and I'm keeping my fingers crossed they don't find something else wrong

Dealer called, exhaust leak is due to both Y pipes being cracked. Yamaha has a tech exchange where the junk titanium can be replaced with stainless steel but of course the stainless are on back order until middle of month. Fortunately titanium are available and I'm paying for overnight shipping to get them to the dealer so he can have my sled ready for pickup Thursday. Maybe when they break again I'll be able to get the stainless. Covered under warranty but doesn't make good business sense to me for Yamaha to not have $91 pipes but have $390 ones to use for warranty work

Steve and I have made our reservations at the 3 Bear Inn. we will be riding friday and Saturday. A friend I ride with up here just had his donuts and y pipes replaced under the YES warrenty. In fact it was one of Dave Siegenthaler sleds he bought from me which had an extended warrenty on it. A side note, we raised about $1,100 for the American Heart Association during the Dave Siegenthaler Memorial ride we had on Feb. 20th. How is the snow holding up down there? I will be riding in the Waterville, Hamilton, Georgetown area tomorrow with a couple friends. I'll see everyone Friday mornig

Seems to be holding up good except right in town down to dirt in alot of spots. We got a couple inches overnight to freshen things up. I'll be riding my sled to the Seven Valley Snowgoers meeting Thursday night so will know trail conditions better then. Should be good for you around Georgetown as we were up to Morrisville last Saturday and there was 2 foot of fresh snow from the storm.

Three Bear has a restaurant next to the motel or you can walk north through the intersection and go to the little diner past the NAPA.

I rode down in the Georgetown area today, Snow was decent, alittle thin in the lower areas, but good coverage on the hills. Good Snow cover around Waterville. The thinist area was Edmonston. Most trails were groomed, but a few from Morrisville over toward Deansboro, and Waterville had not been touched since the snow last Thursday. See you guys in the morning

I picked up the sled and rode to the meeting and about 25 miles afterward.
Getting out of town isn't good as most snow gone. About a half mile out of town snow is good. Everyone else at the meeting rode in from the north and trails were great they said. Cortland had groomed that side. Marathon was out grooming when I left for the meeting but that was about three miles out of town and they were heading back the way they came. I'm thinking I may meet you guys down in town with my truck and show you how to get up to my house to unload. Just have your sleds gassed, may want to stop on the way someplace as Marathon jacked price up today to $2.939 Any questions in am call me on my cell 315-350-0694.

Finally got to ride the trails in part of the Southern tier. Most tails were great in the higher elevations. A little thin in the valleys. A nice mixture of old truck roads, open fields and wooded trails. nice to be able to go a constant 80 MPH on some of those old truck roads for a few miles with out back off the throttle Not much traffic. Hope to be able to ride that area more then once next year. Great to have Paul ride with us again. John, Sorry you got sick on Friday. At least you rode instead of sitting in the house like Dave did.

Gordon, you wouldn't have been able to cruise 80 mph for miles on end if I had gone. I would have been stopping very frequently to poop and puke. Glad you guys had a good time, except for John. Next year we'll do it again down here for sure, at least three days. Paul, anytime you want to come up here to ride let me know as I'm usually riding every weekend.
