2nd NY TY ride

Not looking like i will be joining you guys. Broke my brand new W arm and yamaha doesnt wanna know nothing. And im not spending another 500 for a new arm and shock. So sled looks like its heading to hudons to be stripped...

Sorry to hear that Dan, guess you do ride her hard ;)! Anyone else going to chime in on what their plans are for the upcoming ride :letsnow: :letsnow: :letsnow: :letsnow:

Dave, I got 5" of wet heavy snow last night. We are suppose to get another 4-6" tonight and potential of 12"+ Thursday night through Friday night. So even if we held the ride somewheres it seems the actual riding conditions might not be that great, even if there is snow on the trail. All the snow should be wet and heavy. I can ride anywhere on Thursday and Friday this week, and of couse I can ride any days after that for the rest of my life. Was Dave and Tim going to ride at all this week? What should we do? Where should we Ride? Can you work this week and take a couple days off next week if you want? These are all great questions? Anybody got ant thoughts on this? Gordon

Gordon,

Based on the forecast I just saw I'm thinking I'll ride Wednesday out of Marathon. Not sure who, other than Nor'easter, was planning on riding that day. I sent him a PM to see what his plans are. It appears we will also be getting good snow over the next several days with higher snowfall total on Thursday/Friday. We still have a good base on the seasonal roads, it's just the fields that need more. Wet heavy snow should stay in place at least! I'll report on what I find Wednesday and then we'll either all ride out of Marathon the rest of the week or I'll head to Mapledale for the rest of the week. Tim and Dave said they would not be riding if it was held up north. If out of Marathon Tim is riding Fri/Sat and Dave Sat/Sun as far as I know.

Dave, After the report on your Wed. ride, I will either come down there for Thursday & Friday, or if it isn't that good you can come up this way. Keep us posted. I am going to go out for a quick 100 mile ride up here tomorrow. I would come down there tomorrow, but I have to be here for some engagement dinner for my son tomorrow. You would have thought that by now he would have known enough not to have things like that during the Winter months.

Dave, thanks for thinking of me and sending me a PM. With all of the snow currently down here in SE PA and forecasted through the end of this week, I am planning on riding locally in PA through Sunday, 2/28. It is a long way for me to travel when local conditions in PA are already very good. But I do look forward to riding with you guys again in the future.

I rode 174 miles today from my house. Trails were great for the most part. Snow was thin around DeRuyter and Truxton for some reason. With the forecast of snow starting Thursday afternoon and continuing overnight we should be good to go for the week down here. Gordon, we departing Three Bear Inn parking lot at 9 or 10 am Thursday? I think you are the only one coming in from far away. Tim mentioned he may call in sick. Number to Inn is 607-849-3258. Let's ride and I hope more will join us ;)!

Dave. I rode my area and Tug Hill Today. Trails were great with hardly no traffic. I'll split the difference, I will be there at 9:30 AM. What exit do I get off coming from the North? See you in the morning. Gordon

Exit 9(Marathon). End of ramp take left(rte. 11 south) to light in town. Three Bear is straight through on left. See ya :letsnow:

Due to too much snow(IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT) we are rescheduling this ride for March 5-7. Leave Three Bear parking lot at 10am on 5th and 9am the other days. Hope we can get a good turn out, come ride all three days or just one or two. The more the merrier, lots of great trails in this area

yeowza...make my mind up for me sounds good, Three Bear AM in marathon got it, pray for no rain...later John
