did a four inch high density seat foam mod and i find this to be the best mod on 03 rx-1 so far! six foot 5 inches tall, find this to be a mandatory mod. also 2 inch non pivot riser with bars turned foward. my two cents!

What did you use for a seat cover to cover the extra foam? And how did you shape it so that there is still a rise at the back of the seat...or did you eliminate the rise? I'm 6'4" and am interested in this!

kinda looks like the tank cover is tight to the seat....maybe too tight?? Or is it good and not going to wear into the seat?

Those are pics of my sled and the seat is still working great. 400 miles later and no problems except no sore back. From my previous post you get a better idea of what it looks like. That angle makes it look funny.

my seat mod looks the same but not as far to the tank, used a 7 inch sander to shape foam and 3m spray adhesive, no material added to seat cover, just stretched it back to position. to crush 4 inches of h.d. foam for stappeling, i laid the seat upside down over 20" log, laid a 2 by 4 lenthwise over plastic seat back and crushed seat down with two very heavy objects, [a 1971 442 convertible and an 03 rx-1] not sure wich is heavier but they both served the purpose perfectly! very easy to stapple!
