Hi Guys, I have recently put an Apex seat on my 03 RX-1. Everyone says that this is just a bolt on mod. I am having trouble with this though. When you tighten down the hangers, the clips at the front are putting out from underneath the gas tank causing the front of the seat to be loose. Is this normal? Am I missing a step? Any help or solutions would be helpful.

You need to cut your tank cover a bit there bud. Someone else will have to chime in here with the amount to cut off.

Hey Stubby, I have cut the tank cover, that part is all good. It is when I tighten the hooks down on the back of the seat the seat moves and pulls the clips out from under the tank.

I had the same problem. I cut some .5 tubing about in inch long. Then slice the tubing and slide that on the seat tabs. Add some glue or duct tape to hold them in place. That will make a tighter fit between the gas tank and the seat.
